Conroe ISD’s full day kindergarten program is guided by the Texas Education Agency’s Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills curriculum (TEKS). The kindergarten TEKS specify the concepts and skills the State of Texas believes all students should know. Conroe ISD differentiates instruction to ensure that each child attains his/her highest potential.

To enter the kindergarten program, a child must be five years of age on or before September 1 of the current school year.

Documents considered acceptable for proof of identification and age for registration include the following:

  • Birth certificate
  • Passport
  • School ID card, or report card
  • Military ID
  • Hospital birth record
  • Adoption records
  • Church baptismal record or
  • Any other legal document that establishes identity
